FALL CANOE CAMPING MINNESOTA | Duluth Canoe
Many know fall as the “shoulder season.” It can be a long wait between summer sun and winter snow. Most outfitters hang up canoes and ready snowshoes and skis. But for many of us who call the Northland home, fall is our favorite time to be on the water. Trees change color. Winds howl out of the North. Ice chases in great migrations of waterfowl. The forest takes a last deep breath before winter. It's the most exciting time of year to strap the canoes on top of the truck, and see what’s around the bend.
